Glyn Bailey

President

Glyn Bailey is a seasoned entertainment industry professional with a show business career dating back to 1973. Glyn studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. He holds several degrees in music, including a Masters (MMus) in Songwriting from Bath Spa University in England.

After successfully performing in cabaret, T.V. and theatre in his native country of England (including the original London production of ‘Evita’), Glyn spent seventeen years as a solo cabaret performer and piano vocalist with some of the world’s finest cruise lines – including Norwegian Cruises, Sunline, Royal Viking, Seabourn and Radisson Seven Seas (now Regent Seven Seas). For part of this time, he also held the position of Cruise Director. Upon returning to dry-land, Glyn was appointed Manager of Enrichment Programs for Silversea Cruises and then Manager of Entertainment for Delta Queen Steamboat Company (now American Queen Voyages).

This shore-side perspective gave him an even deeper insight and knowledge of the cruise industry and the day-to-day running of a cruise ship entertainment department. Glyn’s in-depth knowledge of the cruise industry and its specialized needs, means that CAI can be relied upon to supply the right entertainment product for any cruise line.

As a composer, Glyn's musical on the life of the English novelist D.H. Lawrence has been professionally produced several times - including in the West End of London and in New Orleans, where it won the Marque Theatre Award for Best New Musical.
