Gilberto Bueno and Renata Bacal are a fabulous guitar vocal duo from Brazil. They first formed in 2010 and started working in five star resorts on the island of Ibiza, Spain. Mardi Gras has since performed in hotels, resorts and cruise ships around the North Sea, Scandinavia, Mediterranean, Africa and South America, for companies such as P&O, Thomson / TUI (resorts and cruise ships), Riu Resorts, Norwegian cruise lines, Island cruises, Fred Olsen cruise lines, Windstar Cruises and more!

 

The entertainment business has long been a familiar environment for the couple, since Gilberto used to work as a stage manager/audio engineer for musical theatre productions and Renata as a musical theatre singer/dancer, both on ships and land.

 

The Duo are very versatile, with over 350 songs and a repertoire ranging from the 50’s to present chart topping hits. They perform with quality backing tracks produced by themselves, and also perform acoustic sets too, always adapting to the venue and atmosphere.

 

Gilberto and Renata both speak fluent Portuguese, English, Spanish, and basic Italian, which always helps when interacting/engaging with the audience, which they consider to be of great importance during a performance. They are a very energetic and enthusiastic duo who will certainly get everyone singing and dancing with them!
